How far would you go for your pets?

CHALLENGE

Pet owners struggle to find trustworthy, available care due to time constraints, while sitters face inconsistent work and difficulty building steady clientele. This disconnect creates unreliable experiences on both sides, making quality pet care and dependable income equally hard to achieve.

SOLUTION

A platform that connects pet owners with nearby, trusted sitters through location-based search, detailed profiles, and easy comparisons. With streamlined booking, secure messaging, and in-app payments, the experience ensures safe, reliable, and stress-free pet care coordination.

"How far would you go for your pets?"

Is the question that sets the emotional and close tone of the brand. It's directed both at those seeking help and those who care for their pets. It reflects the dedication of those who don’t want to leave their animals alone, and the commitment of those who treat every pet as their own.

BRAND

Tails is a simple and affectionate name that instantly evokes the world of animals. The logo combines two key elements. An animal’s tail and the moon, creating a visual metaphor for the brand’s mission: caring for pets with dedication, even if it means going to the moon for them.

To reinforce this idea, we created a set of illustrations featuring animals in playful, space-themed scenes. These visuals help emphasize the brand’s promise to go above and beyond, while adding a memorable and engaging touch to the overall identity.

PLATFORM

The first phase was the research: involved interviews and questionnaires, giving us valuable insight into the habits and frustrations of both pet owners and sitters. These findings helped us define the target audience and identify where the current experience was failing.

From there, we mapped the user journey, simplified key workflows, and began designing wireframes and prototypes. Throughout the process, we ran quick tests and regularly gathered feedback to make sure we were building something that truly met users’ needs.

FEATURES

Pet Sitter

Pet sitters get notified when there’s a new booking request, making it easy for them to keep track of their schedule. They also get access to helpful info about each pet, like their personality, daily routine, and any special needs so they can give the best care possible.

Pet Owner

Pet owners can easily search for a variety of local sitters, check out their profiles, and read reviews from other pet onwers. To help find the right fit, they can filter sitters by the type of care they need, like dog walking, cat drop-ins, or overnight stays.
